The DMS300 from AKG is a streamlined digital wireless instrument system offering 24-bit/48 kHz uncompressed audio, AES 256-bit encryption, extended battery life, and an easy-to-use setup. It can be used with guitar, bass, or keyboard instruments for a wide variety of live stage, theater, and rehearsal applications in small music venues, wedding halls, houses of worship, and event spaces.
The system includes a 1/4″ to TA3F instrument cable and a lightweight bodypack transmitter that will operate for up to 12 hours on two AA batteries. The TA3M connector on the transmitter can also accommodate a wide variety of AKG lavalier and headset mics (available separately) for performers and presenters.
The DMS300 uses a preset selection of eight color-coded frequencies in the 2.4 GHz range, allowing you to choose the clearest channel for transmission and leaving the remaining ones available for use with up to seven additional systems (available separately). The tabletop receiver offers a range of up to 100′, a high-resolution LCD, and provides XLR and 1/4″ outputs to connect to a mixer or PA system. A universal AC power adapter and two AA batteries are included. A rackmounting kit for the receiver is available separately.
The AKG DMS300 digital wireless system operates anywhere in the world using the 2.4 GHz band common to Wi-Fi equipment and other digital gear. No license is required to operate the system, no matter where you are.
The DMS300 system is designed from the ground up for intuitive operation. Channel pairing is push-button painless, with color coding to make for easy identification. Adaptive channel selection takes the guesswork out of locating available wireless channels by offering you eight fixed channels to work with. Up to eight DMS300 systems can be synced and used together simultaneously. If you need fewer channels, the streamlined DMS100 offers only 4 preset frequencies and uses internal antennas.
Enjoy pristine, studio-quality sound: the bodypack offers 24-bit, 48 kHz resolution and a linear frequency response. The bodypack is instrument-ready and can be used with an optional AKG headset or lavalier microphone (available separately). Musicians will appreciate the ultralow latency of less than 2.9ms, helping them to keep accurate timing.
If you’re sharing sensitive information, trust the DMS300’s built-in advanced AES 256-bit encryption to protect your signal and keep your wireless audio communications private. It is suitable for small-to-medium corporate and small-business users in need of private, secure wireless communications.
