The Sonuus G2M easily turns your guitar signal into a monophonic MIDI signal, so you can track MIDI parts or control a virtual instrument live. Best of all, the Sonuus G2M is universal – so you don’t need to mount a special pickup in your guitar just to use it. The device accurately and quickly picks up your MIDI information, even capturing such performance nuances as pitch bends – so everything is cleanly translated to the digital domain. Use it to sequence bass lines, bolster live performances, or turn solos into music notation – you’ll love having the Sonuus G2M in your rig.

Turns your guitar signal into a monophonic MIDI signal
The Sonuus G2M offers up a simple way to turn your guitar signal into a monophonic MIDI signal – no messy installations required. Just plug into the Sonuus G2M – the same as you would a regular stompbox – from there, the Sonuus G2M can read a single note at a time, translating all of your playing nuances into a MIDI signal. The applications of the Sonuus G2M are far-reaching – and just plain fun – and for such an affordable price, it’s a great addition to any rig.

Improved Version 3
G2M is now in Version 3. Sonuus has made improvements to tracking accuracy and tripled the performance. In addition, it now supports voice and wind instruments as well as guitar and bass. It also offers 20dB more headroom than previous versions, which means it will capture your playing dynamics more accurately.

Use it to sequence bass lines and tricky solos
If you’re playing a bass line into a DAW on a MIDI controller, sometimes you just can’t translate those subtle bends the way you would if you were playing it on a bass. Instead, you can just play the bass lines into the Sonuus G2M – it will turn the stream of notes into a MIDI signal, which you can later transpose and run through different virtual instruments and synthesizers. This same process is also a handy way to track tricky solos. Just play them in as slowly as you like, with a focus on accuracy – then speed up the MIDI signal or transpose it into a different key, without introducing artifact issues associated with software-based audio pitch and time changes.

Excellent tool for enhancing live performances
While the Sonuus G2M is an excellent studio tool, it’s also a great way to give your onstage playing a little extra “oomph” and dimension. Run the 5-pin MIDI output into a synthesizer, for example, to add some fatness behind your guitar sound. Or set it up so a certain sound effect triggers every time you play a particular note – the possibilities are enormous.

Helps to improve playing technique
The Sonuus G2M is a cool creative tool, but it can also help you practice more effectively. Because the Sonuus G2M reads one note at a time, it will help you work on playing each note precisely and articulately, so the Sonuus G2M reads it just the way you intend. With the Sonuus G2M, not only will your MIDI output be more accurate – but your regular guitar playing will be much more clean and professional.

Works well to create music notation
Pair the Sonuus G2M with any music notation software – or the music notation tools included in your DAW – and use it to notate a solo line or a bass passage. Rather than thinking through how you’d score your guitar part – or trying to play it on a keyboard – you can just plug into the Sonuus G2M and play.

Features a built-in standard guitar tuner
You can easily use the Sonuus G2M away from your regular guitar rig. It features a built-in standard guitar tuner, so you can be sure you’re always in tune as you play your parts and it turns them into MIDI information.
