ANueNue UT1KE Koa Bird Tenor Ukulele (with pickup)

The body uses 2AA grade Hawaiian koa. The koa wood are carefully quarter-sawn, and kiln dry. 2AA grade koa, aNueNue air dry for 12 months, before they went into production. Koa is a tropical hardwood, warm midrange, with crispy treble end. The more the Koa ukulele is play, the sound opens up. You will get a subtle overtone, and great resonance sound.

HEADSTOCK — The Hawaiian Koa classical Slotted Headstock with a mother of pearl inlay logo. The geared tuners allows for precise tuning.

FINGERBOARD — Ebony is a hard dense wood with real smooth feel. It adds brightness and faster attack. The 20-frets design allows for endless tonal possibilities.

BODY — The unique Mitsuta Mount Fuji voiced brace design produces warm, clean tones. The Koa Bird 1K ukulele is based off the aNueNue bird guitar. Then the gloss finish was buffed to mirror-like shine.

DESIGN — Rosewood binding was added for better protection to the body.

BRIDGE — The ebony bridge helps support the string tension. The Buffalo bone is hard and articulate; it helps the strings to vibrate and has great resonance.

WOOD — Koa Bird 1K used all solid Hawaiian koa which is the classic tone wood used for ukuleles. It blends the beautiful midrange tones of mahogany and sprinkles in the sparkling high range tones of spruce as well. A brand new Koa Bird 1K tends to starts out sounding mellow. But as the wood ages and the instrument is played more, the sound then opens up, expanding the midrange and rewarding the player with a richer, sweeter, more resonant tone.

HARD CASE — It comes with an aNueNue Bird Ukulele hard-shell case. The case is made of laminated hard wood. It is the strongest protective case we offer, designed with 20mm of thickness for extra protection. It has a side-handle to make carrying easy.

PICKUP — aNueNue Air Air Dual Pickup system is design in HD to reproduce the purest, and dynamic sound of instrument. Air Air is friendly to use with simple (Vol) and (Mic) control. HD integrated circuit preamp design delivers low distortion, super low noise, and wide dynamic range. Low power operation with a CR2032 coin battery.
